Covers

During the colder months, the winter cover provides a warmer, softer, and cozier surface. When the weather gets warmer, you can replace it with the summer cover, made from a cooler and more breathable fabric that helps provide a more comfortable resting experience.

The same orthopedic support all year round

Frequently Asked Questions

The best orthopedic bed for dogs should offer a good balance of support, comfort, hygiene, and durability.

At VEEL PET, we use high-density 40D memory foam, designed to adapt to your dog’s body and provide a stable resting surface. Our beds also feature a washable cover, waterproof protection, a non-slip base, and interchangeable summer and winter covers.

A good orthopedic bed should allow your dog to lie down comfortably, change sleeping positions, and rest without sinking excessively.

For dogs with arthritis, joint discomfort, or advanced age, a bed with a stable, cushioned surface and good weight distribution is generally recommended.

VEEL PET orthopedic beds use 40D memory foam, which adapts to the dog’s body and helps distribute weight across the resting surface.

Models with raised edges also allow the dog to rest its head and neck comfortably.

An orthopedic bed does not replace veterinary treatment, but it can help provide a more comfortable resting environment.

To choose the right dog bed size, measure your pet while they are lying in their usual resting position.

The bed should allow your dog to:

lie fully on their side;
stretch out comfortably;
change sleeping positions;
remain completely within the resting surface.

VEEL PET offers sizes from S to XXL.

If your dog is between two sizes, we generally recommend choosing the larger size to provide more space.

Foam density is one of the important factors to consider when choosing an orthopedic dog bed.

VEEL PET beds use 40D memory foam, approximately 40 kg/m³.

This density provides a balance between body adaptation and stability, helping prevent the surface from being excessively soft.

For large or heavy dogs, both the density and thickness of the foam are especially important for maintaining a suitable resting surface.

Memory foam can be a good option because it gradually adapts to the shape of the body and helps distribute weight more evenly.

For this reason, it is commonly used in beds for:

adult dogs;
senior dogs;
large dogs;
pets that spend many hours lying down;
dogs that need a more stable resting surface.

VEEL PET beds use 40D memory foam combined with a structure designed to provide support and comfort.

Large dogs need a bed with enough space to stretch out comfortably and foam that can support their weight without sinking excessively.

VEEL PET offers beds in XL and XXL sizes, with dimensions of up to approximately 122 × 89 cm, depending on the model.

We also use 40D memory foam and different mattress thicknesses according to the size of the bed.

For large breeds, we always recommend checking your dog’s measurements before choosing the size.

It mainly depends on your dog’s sleeping position.

Dogs that tend to sleep curled up or like to rest their head may feel more comfortable in a bed with raised edges.

The VEEL PET Sofa Model features padded raised edges that allow dogs to rest their head comfortably and provide a more enclosed, cozy feel.

Dogs that prefer to sleep fully stretched out may feel more comfortable in the Bone Model, which offers a more open resting surface.

The most practical option is to choose an orthopedic bed with a removable cover.

VEEL PET beds can be taken apart using zippers, allowing the outer cover to be removed for easier washing.

We recommend washing the cover at approximately 30 °C, always following the care instructions.

The memory foam core should not be machine washed.

Having replacement covers also allows you to keep using the bed while the main cover is being washed.

Yes.

VEEL PET has developed a system of interchangeable summer and winter covers that allows you to use the same bed all year round.

The summer cover is made from a cooler, more breathable fabric, while the winter cover provides a warmer and cozier surface.

This allows you to adapt the bed to the temperature without having to buy a new bed every season.

Yes. Orthopedic beds are not designed only for large or senior dogs. Small dogs and cats can also benefit from a stable, comfortable resting surface that adapts to their body.

At VEEL PET, we offer models and sizes designed for smaller pets, featuring 40D memory foam, a washable cover, waterproof protection, and a non-slip base.

For cats and small dogs, a bed with good support can be especially comfortable because they often spend many hours resting and changing positions throughout the day.

VEEL PET offers compact options in smaller sizes so that both small dogs and cats can enjoy a comfortable, easy-to-maintain resting space.

Easy to Assemble

The bed can be completely disassembled very easily thanks to two hidden zippers that allow the mattress and cushions to be removed. Washing is recommended at a temperature no higher than 30 °C.

All VEEL PET models have easy-to-fit replacement covers for each season.

The egg-crate memory foam base, with a density of 40D, adapts to your pet’s body and provides enhanced support for the skeletal structure. It is particularly suitable for senior pets, heavier animals, or pets with osteoarthritis.

A Design for Every Pet

VEEL PET offers two designs. The Sofa Model features raised, padded edges that allow pets to rest their head comfortably and provide a more enclosed, cozy feel. The Bone Model offers a more open resting surface, ideal for dogs and cats that prefer to sleep stretched out or frequently change positions.

Both models combine 40D memory foam, a washable cover, waterproof protection, and a non-slip base.
